Hey there, Melissa. Thanks for dropping by
planDisney to chit chat about one of my favorite things - Disney dining!
Melissa, I feel your question on a whole other level! I have so many favorite Walt Disney World restaurants and dishes and it is the hardest decision to make when it comes to planning out which ones to enjoy during a Walt Disney World vacation. So many places, so little time!
Le Cellier is such a fantastic spot. There are so many drool-worthy menu items to enjoy while dining there. I absolutely agree that the Le Cellier Signature Poutine is a must-have
menu item! Melissa, because Le Cellier does not have a lounge or bar area where Guests can walk up and enjoy without a reservation, I'm not sure how feasible your request for to-go poutine will be. I certainly haven't noticed anyone doing take-out there, but that doesn't mean that it never happens. If I were you when you are at EPCOT, go ahead and pop into Le Cellier and talk to the hostess about your request. You never know, a little Disney magic could happen. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask. I'm sending all of the pixie-dusted, best wishes your way!
Are you planning to spend any time at
Disney Springs, Melissa? If so, you guys could always get your poutine fix at
The Daily Poutine quick service stand at Town Center. If you haven't had their poutine before, I highly recommend it. I like it a lot. They have a variety of options to choose from but when I was just looking over their
current menu, I noticed they also have a Canadian Poutine. This version has french fries, beef poutine gravy and cheddar curds. While it isn't exactly the same, I bet it is still pretty tasty and it could be fun to compare the two! I also think the Loaded Frites sound really great and pretty similar to the Plaza Fries at Magic Kingdom Park if you've ever had those before. The loaded frites are served with queso blanco, iceberg lettuce, pico de Gallo, bacon and a garlic-ranch dressing. Yum!
I have one more thought, Melissa. If you aren't able to order your husband's favorite poutine to go, you could always ask for the recipe. The chefs at Walt Disney World restaurants are great about sharing their kitchen secrets with Guests. I've asked for several recipes throughout the years and have a wonderful collection of some of my favorite dishes. If you did this without your husband knowing, you could always surprise him with his favorite dish once you got back home. This could be a really fun and special date night idea.
Good luck on your quest for poutine on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Melissa! If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
Jackie H.
