My husband and I are looking to purchase tickets using the socal deal! His license lists our address but my license has not yet been updated. Will we be able to use the deal?

Hi Sofia, welcome to planDisney! I'm excited that you're planning to visit the Disneyland Resort – it's truly the Happiest Place on Earth! The SoCal Resident Ticket is a great way to save on three days of fun, however, there are certain restrictions. Let's get into it!

Guests using the SoCal Resident Ticket must show a government-issued photo ID for admission. This means a California driver's license or California ID showing proof of eligible residency is required. Your husband, then, could use this ticket, but you couldn't unless you wait until your new identification arrives. The good news is that there's still plenty of time! This offer will be around for a few more months, through May 15, 2025. Hopefully you'll be able to get your new California Driver's License or California ID and take advantage of this offer before then.

I see you might have an upcoming trip, Sofia. If you'll be visiting the parks soon, you might need to plan on purchasing a standard theme park ticket for yourself – you can get the SoCal Resident Ticket or a standard ticket for your husband. If you'll be at the parks in the coming weeks, I hope you'll have an opportunity to check out the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. There are so many creative menu items to explore, as well as exciting entertainment and new merchandise. Plus, Soarin' Over California is back for the festival. I love the feeling of gliding above so many iconic Californian landscapes.

Here's one more idea for you, Sofia. If you like the idea of visiting throughout the year, perhaps a Magic Key pass would be fun for the two of you. At the time of this writing, the Enchant Key pass is still available, and it can pay for itself in six visits. I appreciate that the Magic Key pass allows my family to visit frequently for shorter periods. There are also special extras and experiences just for Magic Key holders, as well as discounts on dining and merchandise.

Sofia, I hope this information has added some pixie dust to your planning. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
