My husband and I are looking at getting an annual pass. I want to go ahead and book our room so I know we have it. If we get an annual pass after we book the room, can we call and get a better rate for the room?

Hello Ralie!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on taking the plunge and becoming a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder.  I became an Annual Passholder for the first time last year and love taking advantage of all of the benefits and discounts offered to Passholders.

Whenever I begin planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I decide which of the fabulous Resort Hotels we will be staying in.  After that, I call a Cast Member at (407)939-1936 and reserve my first choice for the dates i require.

Why do I call, you ask? Well, Guests can reserve Room-Only Reservations up to 499 days in advance of their Walt Disney World Resort vacation by phone, must wait until only 6 months to a year before reserving rooms or Magic Your Way Vacation Packages on the Walt Disney World Website and usually only 3-6 months before Special Offers become available.

By booking my first-choice Room-Only Reservation so early, I ensure that I have my room.  Once Special Offers are released, I quickly go to My Disney Experience Account or contact a Cast Member at (407)939-1936 to modify my reservation to take advantage of the Special Offer.

Disney's Terms and Conditions for Room-Only Reservations are such that you may modify or cancel a reservation up to 5 days before your vacation without penalty.

Just be sure to act quickly when a Special Offer is released as there is limited availability for specific Resort Hotels and Rooms.

    Enjoy your Annual Pass!
