My husband and I have linked our tickets to the MDE app (two separate logins) but currently my husband can only book rides for himself and my daughter and I can only book for myself and my son, how do we change this so we can both book for all 4 of us?

Hi Natalie, and welcome to planDisney!

One of the things I enjoy most about visiting Walt Disney World Resort is the numerous helpful digital tools available to make planning and enjoying your vacation easier. Between the My Disney Experience app, Disney MagicMobile service, and Disney Band, I love having so much functionality right at my fingertips or on my wrist. It means I can leave almost everything else in my Resort room and simply rely on my phone to keep our day moving smoothly.

It sounds like the reason you and your husband can only make plans for part of your group is that your accounts aren’t yet fully connected in your Family & Friends List. Once you’re all linked, you’ll each be able to see and plan for everyone in your party, whether you’re making Lightning Lane selections, dining reservations, or Enchanting Extras bookings. Here’s how to get that set up:

    On a computer:

    1. Visit the Family & Friends List page on the Walt Disney World website.
    2. Click “Add a Guest” and choose how you’d like to connect. You can enter the other person’s name and age, or send them an invitation via their Disney account email.
    3. Once they accept the invitation, you can select the option to share “All Plans” so you’ll both have full planning access.

On the My Disney Experience app:

    1. Open the app and tap the menu (☰) in the lower right corner.
    2. Select “Profile”, then go to the “Family & Friends List” tab.
    3. Choose “Add a Guest”, follow the prompts, and either find through connected Guests, entering a Guest name and age, or scanning their linking code.

Once you’ve completed this step for each other, you’ll be able to make plans for all four members of your family from either account.

While we’re talking about the app, don’t forget it can also utilize MagicMobile Entry to access many of the features similar to a Disney Band, such as unlocking your Disney Resort Collection hotel room door, letting you charge merchandise or dining to your room folio, scanning into the theme parks, and tapping into Lightning Lane entrances. It is like having your entire vacation in your pocket.

Since you’re already considering Lightning Lane selections, I’d be happy to help you think through a ride and park strategy so you can secure the attractions that matter most to your family within your booking window. Just let me know what’s on your “must-do” list, and we’ll make sure your plans are set for a great day in the parks.

    TTFN,
    Brent
