My husband and I leave on our first Disney Cruise on September 25th on the Dream! I thought I read somewhere that there is a semi-formal night but can't find that information now. I know there is a Pirate Night and a Halloween Night. Can you help?

    Welcome aboard, Dennisa!

Congratulations on your upcoming sailing with Disney Cruise Line! You're going to love all of the magic you'll encounter onboard the Dream from the very moment you step on the ship until the moment you wave goodbye and head home.

Your four night cruise on the Dream will include three cruise casual attire nights and one optional dress up night. On that night, as the name implies, you're welcome to get dressed up for dinner and photos in the atrium, but it is not required. If you plan to bring dressier outfits, that would be the night to wear them! My family and I love getting photos with our favorite Disney friends in their formalwear, so I hope you can do that too. I have this great photo from years ago of my son who was three in a tiny little tuxedo with Mickey in his tux. I just love it! Most guests won't be wearing tuxes, just so you know, but more like suits or slacks and a blazer, or just nice pants and shirt with a tie for the men. You'll see a bit of everything on optional dress up night, so pack and wear what you feel best about.

Have such fun planning this cruise, and enjoy all of the Halloween on the High Seas festivities! I just love walking onto the ship for the first time and being greeted by the huge Pumpkin Tree which changes throughout the sailing. Just wait for all the fun that's in store on this adventure, Dennisa! Happy planning!
