Hello there, Kasie!
Welcome to planDisney! Like our friend Olaf from
Frozen, I consider myself to be a bit of a love expert, so I always love to see couples planning to spend time together at The Happiest Place On Earth! I'm glad you reached out about accessibility too, because I actually looked into a similar question last winter. You can
check out my findings here for a better idea of which rides will work best for you lovebirds.
I was told by
Guest Relations that the safety restraint belts used in the resort can typically handle up to 600 pounds, so seatbelt extenders are usually not needed. In general, there are plenty of attractions that can be enjoyed by guests of all shapes and sizes, so you and your husband are sure to have an amazing time during your visit!
By the way Kasie, have you heard about the
Disability Access Service (DAS)? The DAS is a free service and no medical documentation is required. You can pre-register for DAS between 2 to 30 days before your trip. I'd recommend
requesting a live video chat with a Cast Member a few weeks before your visit to get started. You'll have a 10-minute video chat with a Cast Member who will help you out with anything you need.
Bottom line: don't stress too much, Kasie. You and your
hunny will have a magical time at Disneyland, and there's no reason why he can't enjoy all the rides and attractions like any other guest. If you think of any more questions, feel free to
message me again.
You've got a friend in me, after all.
See ya real soon,
Danielle
