Hello, Kimberly, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question. I hope your husband's healing is going well and that you're both looking forward to some time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Disneyland does provide
mobility devices for rent, including ECVs and manual wheelchairs and prices can be found
on the Disneyland website. Currently manual wheelchair rentals are $15 and ECV rentals are $60. But please know that prices are subject to change at any time.
Plan to arrive early at the
Stroller Shop just outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, as a limited number of ECVs and wheelchairs are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. I confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that the Stroller Shop opens one hour prior to park opening. (Hours are also subject to change without notice.)
And great question about how to enter attractions - I had the same question when I was preparing to visit the parks with my mom, who utilized a scooter! When you arrive to the parks, stop by any
Guest Relations location and ask for a
Guide for Guests with Disabilities. You may even be able to find one at the Stroller Shop when you're renting your scooter. This detailed guide map indicates where and how to access attractions, because each attraction varies, and was a game-changer for me and my mom as we navigated the parks. However, your best bet, Kimberly, and what I found to be most helpful, is to simply speak with a Cast Member at the attraction you wish to experience, to discuss what your options might be. There are
multiple services available for those with mobility disabilities.
Well, Kimberly, I have no doubt you and your husband will be off and rolling along in no time! I hope this information has been helpful! If you have any additional questions as you prepare for your visit, please don't hesitate to
reach out again.
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
