My husband & 2 kids (8&4) have reservations at Wilderness Lodge in Jan for 5 nights! It's our FIRST trip to Disney! What are some of the "better view" rooms & is it worth it to upgrade to a bunk bed room? Should I call the WL direct

Hi Lisa! Congratulation on your family's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You will absolutely love staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort! This is one of the best themed Disney Deluxe Resort hotels and a favorite among many! Please take a look at the resort's map HERE. Apart for the Concierge/Club Level rooms, and the Suites, there are four other room categories at this resort: Standard Room with Standard View, Woods View with Bunk Beds, Standard View with Courtyard View, and Courtyard View with Bunk Beds. Given the ages of your children, I would definitely recommend upgrading to a room with Bunk Beds, if at all possible. For Courtyard View Rooms try requesting any odd-numbered room from any of these rooms blocks: 4005 - 4023; 5005 - 5023; or 6005 - 6023. These rooms face the Pool but offer excellent oblique views of Bay Lake. You will have easy access to the elevators near the Guest Laundry facility and Roaring Forks. In addition, these rooms are conveniently located near the pathway leading to the ferry boat transportation to Magic Kingdom. Woods View Rooms, located on the same wing, will include similarly situated even-numbered rooms. Request any Woods View Rooms from any of these room blocks: 4004 - 4022; 5004 - 5022, or 6004 - 6022. Avoid the following Standard Room blocks: 4070 - 4099, 5070 - 5099, and 6070 - 6099. These rooms overlook the Main Lobby and you can hear a great deal of rowdiness coming from Whispering Canyon Cafe. To notate your room preference, simply call (407) 939-7429 and give the Cast Member your resort Confirmation Number. Keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed. However, Cast Members will try to accommodate your request based on resort occupancy and other factors taking place when you arrive on property. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy a most memorable first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
