Hello, my husband I would like to take our kids to Disney World for Christmas. For only 2-3 days due to lack of funds. It would be us 2 and 3 kids ages 9, 7, and 5. Is a budget of 3,000 for the whole trip including flying even possiable?

    Hi Sarah,

I love the Walt Disney World Resorts at Christmas! The parks are extra special and the fun is completely different at this time of the year.

I recommend a trip to Disney at Christmas is not for the budget concise guest. The prices are all elevated not only in rooms and flights but also in time. With all of the guests heading here on vacation, the lines are longer and your wait times will be greater. I generally recommend this time frame for guests who are frequent visitors and want to experience something different.

In order to maximize your budget and experience Christmas at Walt Disney World, you should adjust your timeframe to December 1-18. While you may need to pull your children out of school, you will save on your budget.

If it is the first time heading to Disney, look at other times of the year to go. By avoiding the school holiday seasons, you can save money. Mousesavers.com and AllEarsNet.com have great tips on saving money at the Walt Disney World Resorts.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
