Welcome aboard, Kourtney!
You and your husband have something awesome brewing... a magical
land and sea vacation is my kind of vacation too! It doesn't get better than that -- you can enjoy the parks first, and then set sail out on the high seas for a fun and relaxing family vacation. Having 2 kids is tough work. Parents definitely need their vacation... which usually includes bonding time with the kids, but also some mom & dad alone time. You'll be refreshed and recharged after your cruise.
Although, it's fun to visit Walt Disney World anytime throughout the year, I still think the holidays would top my list for the best time to plan a visit. Whether it be Halloween or Christmas -- I think it's an extra magical time to go. The parks will be decorated beautifully -- and the ships will be adorned with so much whimsy, you'll be amazed at the transformation. The
Disney Dream's home port is less than an hour away from the parks. It's a great first time cruise out to the Bahamas and you get to visit Disney's private island, Castaway Cay!
There's something for everyone when you vacation with Disney. Visiting the parks is a spectacular way of spending some hard-earned vacation time. And when you add-on a Disney Cruise... you've just catapulted yourself to a whole new level of vacationing. This is a
different way to do Disney - and you'll love every second of it.
Come back with any more questions, Kourtney. We're always happy to help!
