Mom and daughter on Expedition Everest

My husband isn’t a big thrill ride guy. Can he wait in line with the family for these rides and then exit shortly before the rest of us get on? I did get fast passes for him as well.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angela!

I’m typically not a big “thrill ride” person, either, so I definitely empathize with your husband. While he may enter the FastPass+ line with you (as long as he has his own FastPass+ reservation) and exit prior to the rest of you boarding the attraction, I would let the Cast Member at the entrance know about your intention before you enter the queue. Depending on the attraction, some are easier to exit at the last minute than others, and the Cast Member can let you know about the best opportunity for doing so.

Is there something else nearby, though, that your husband may enjoy doing? Not everyone in your Party has to have the same FastPass+ experiences, so perhaps there’s something he would prefer to enjoy solo while you and your other family members enjoy the thrill. For example, I used to be afraid of riding Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. So while my husband and daughter enjoyed that attraction, I used my FastPass to Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost and then we would all meet up at a designated location afterwards. (My husband and daughter finally talked me into riding Expedition Everest during our last visit, though, and it turns out that it really is an enjoyable ride!)

Whichever option you choose, I hope you and your family have a Magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Angela. Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you. We hope to see you real soon!
