Hello, my husband and I are interested in going on the Starlight Safari while we are at Disney World in October. Do we have to have park reservations for Animal Kingdom that day or since it's in the evening are we able to just go to our Safari?

Hi Maryellyn and welcome to planDisney!

I just love all of the offerings in the Enchanting Extras Collection and am slowly making my way down the list of these "must-do" tours and activities. The Starlight Safari is right at the top of my list because I love Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, so taking an up close safari to see the animals really appeals to me.

The Starlight Safari takes place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Disney Resort hotel, not Disney's Animal Kingdom, the theme park. Theme park admission and reservations are not required for this tour since it is outside of the park. If you have your own car, you can drive right to the Resort hotel and park for free. Just let the guard at the gate know you are there for the tour. If you are traveling by Walt Disney World transportation, you can take a bus from any theme park or Disney Springs right to the Resort hotel.

If you are interested in any tours that are inside a theme park, valid theme park admission and reservations are required, no matter what time of day the tour takes place, so that is something to consider when looking into Enchanting Extras.
