Welcome to planDisney, Lois!
I love that your family is hoping to spread a bit of magic to a potential Mouseketeer. As a teacher myself, I know just how essential experiential learning is to a child's education, so I think it's incredible that you are helping provide such a memorable opportunity for a student.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park does an excellent job of blending thrilling attractions, captivating entertainment, and memorable educational opportunities, so this sounds like a wonderful school trip!
As a big proponent of cementing memories with tangible items, I think it's so special you don't simply plan on gifting the experience but the opportunity for a student to select a souvenir as well. I just checked the
Disney Store website, and while prices are not always identical to what you will find in Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, non-specialty adult t-shirts are currently priced between $30 and $35, while those in youth sizes are between $20 and $25. Hats and plush items are similarly priced, so a gift card in these amounts should suffice for a variety of goods. Please keep in mind that these numbers are rough estimates exclusive of tax and are always subject to change.
Again, I think this is such a wonderful thing you are contributing to your community. I know these students will always look fondly on this experience and the memories they make with their classmates. If you have any other questions for me, don't hesitate to
stop back by. I'm happy to help!
You are the magic,
Lizzie
