My husband injured himself badly and won't be able to walk for our Disneyland visit this Friday. We purchased most of our ticket amounts with a gift card. Is it possible to get the credit for his ticket back onto the Disney gift card?

Hello there, Melissa! Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for taking the time to ask us a question!

Oh boy! I am so sorry to hear that your husband was recently injured and you don't think he will be able to walk for your upcoming visit to Disneyland Resort. I know how frustrating it can be when something unexpected happens and plans have to change. Unfortunately, Disneyland tickets are nonrefundable according to the eTicket Terms and Conditions. The good news is that if you've recently purchased these tickets, they are valid for quite some time still. Tickets purchased at the time of writing this are valid through December 30, 2025. This means that there should be plenty of time for your husband to recover and to find a new time to visit the parks.

I do want you to know that there are electric conveyance vehicles and wheelchairs available to rent at Disneyland Resort to accommodate Guests who need them. They are first come, first served, so I do recommend getting there at the park opening. The rental location is located just to the right of the Disneyland Park gates if you are facing the park.

If you are looking into rescheduling your trip, Disneyland Resort just announced yesterday the timeframes for the upcoming festivals in 2024. There are many festivals that we've all enjoyed year after year and even one or two that we haven't seen in the parks for a few years!

Melissa, I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope you are able to experience the magic with your family soon.

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
