Janet from IL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My husband is an Illinois military veteran. He has the veteran status on his license. Will he qualify for 50 % 0ff the memory maker. Will his license be proof enough?

Hello there, Janet, and welcome to planDisney.

Thanks for stopping by, and please thank your husband for his service. We here at planDisney appreciate everything he has done. “Thank You!”.  I’m so happy that you both are getting the chance to unwind with a Disney vacation; it’s the best way to do it!

I recommend taking the time now to start planning out your list of must-dos. Some of the items on my must-do list include breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace, a Dole Whip while walking through Magic Kingdom, and a hug from Mickey Mouse. As long as I do at least one of those things, I’m set! Of course, capturing all these moments with Disney PhotoPass Photographers is also a must. So add purchasing Memory Maker to that list.

You'll want to read through the eligibility requirements for purchasing Memory Maker using the military offer. As an active duty family, we purchase Memory Maker at the Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs on the day we arrive. While there, we activate our theme park tickets and purchase Memory Maker after presenting either my husband's military ID or my spouse's ID. If your husband is eligible, he’ll also want to bring his military ID with him, as that is what the Cast Members will use to activate this offer.

If you find that your husband is not eligible, I recommend purchasing Memory Maker before you arrive to take advantage of a different savings offer. You can save when you purchase Memory Maker at least 3 days in advance! So take advantage of those savings. After completing your purchase, and once you arrive, I recommend stopping by the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs. It’s a fun place to grab some jazzed-up family photos with unique backdrops and props. My little ones beg to snap a couple of photos in there each time we visit. Trust me, it’s worth it, and all the photos taken there are included in your Memory Maker purchase.

Have a great visit, Janet, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please visit us again. We here at planDisney are always ready to help.

    Smile big,

    Shantel

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
