My husband and I are huge Disney Fans! We are traveling in July to Disney World for the 8th time, except this go around we are bringing our 6 month old son. We feel like we are visiting for the first time. Any tips to make is easier and fun for all?

    Hi Beth!

Congrats on your new little bundle of joy!  Traveling with a little one can make even the experienced traveler feel like a novice, so take a deep breath, and let's get started.

    First of all...packing:

Pack sensibly.  What does this mean?  DO NOT take every toy in the house, as it likely won't get used.  Take a lovey or favorite comfort item and leave the rest at home.  DO TAKE daily medicines, include Tylenol and Motrin in case of teething.  Also, we always take a thermometer--illness do happen on vacation, and we are always mindful of that.  I don't know if you've started solids with your little guy yet, but if you haven't, I'd think of delaying until your return from vacation.  Otherwise that would be one other thing to pack or plan (many have baby food and diapers delivered to their resort by garden grocer).  The pack 'n plays the resort provides are great as well.  One less thing to pack!

    On the plane:
Make sure he has something to drink upon take-off/landing to help his ears pop.  Landing was always worse for our little ones, so we tried to plan accordingly.  Pack extra diapers.  Pack extra clothes for him, and an extra shirt for you (this one is INVALUABLE!!).

    While touring the parks:
Use the Baby Care Centers!  They are fabulous!  I can't even count how many hours I spent (between my 3) there.  They have great changing tables, high chairs, amazingly cool and fabulous nursing mother's rooms...oh I could go on and on...I really will be sad when we won't use them anymore.

    Have a magical vacation!
