My husband and I are hoping to visit Oct 22 to 29. I read that there is usually only 1 disney water park open in the fall this true and if so, do you know which one will be open in October 2011.

    Hi Peggy!

It is true that usually one water park is closed for refurbishment during the fall.  I was going to assume that Typhoon Lagoon was the one to be closed this year since last year it was Blizzard Beach  With a little research, I have found that Blizzard Beach will be the water park closing for refurbishment this summer.  Per the Blizzard Beach Calendar, this water park will begin its closing schedule starting on October 30th.  This is great news for you!  You will have both water parks to choose from while you are at Disney World on vacation.  Of course all times and schedules are subject to change, so please check back to the Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon calendars before your visit.

    Have a magical day!
