My husband and i were hoping to come in Oct/Nov of this year, we have a 3 yr and (will be) 1 yr old then. will there be activities/rides that we can do as a family? (with my baby turning 1 in nov)

    Hi, Rebekah!

Taking little ones to Walt Disney World is a lot of fun.  Your entire family can enjoy character meals, parades, attractions such as it's a small world, fun shows like Disney Junior Live on Stage, and of course just relaxing at your resort. This will be a very family-friendly vacation.

Do not plan too much.  With young Mouseketeers, your time in the parks will be shortened, and you will be heading back to your resort for bedtime when many are heading out for nighttime fun!  But no worries, the joy they will have when meeting Mickey Mouse and seeing their little sleeping faces after a day of magic makes the trip worth it.

Plan ahead by bringing a double stroller. This is a MUST when your kids are little.  Each day, bring a backpack filled with diapers, snacks, a change of clothes, wet wipes, and plenty of sunscreen.  When entering the parks, find the Baby Care Center.  These Centers will be Mom's favorite place to visit with the little ones.  Each Center has nice changing areas, a kitchen, high chairs, and everything you will need to tend to your little ones.  My kids are older now, but we still smile walking past the Baby Care Centers when we think of all the time we spent in them!

Resort rooms have a complimentary Pack and Play for your 1 year old, and call ahead if you need to request bed rails for your 3 year old.  Rooms have small refrigerators to keep juice and drinks cold if that helps in your planning for nighttime bottles or sippy cups.

Let us know if you need help choosing a resort or selecting dining locations.  We have all done the Disney-thing with very young kids, so we know how to make a magical Walt Disney World trip be successful with kids at any age!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
