My husband and I are hoping to take our family on a Disney vacation this summer. We have a big family so we are needing advice on the best cheap places to stay in the area. Also, how many days do you think should be spent in the park?

I hope you get to take your family to Walt Disney World this summer too!

Disney's Value Resorts family suites might be your best bet for inexpensive lodgings for a large family. Both Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Music Resort have comfortable family suites that include two bathrooms, a separate bedroom, and mini kitchen. Six people may sleep in these rooms. Disney's Art of Animation opens in May but is now accepting reservations.

Check the Special Offers page to see what deals are available to stretch your budget. Magic Your Way Vacation Packages allow you to book a room and ticket combo or a room, dining, and ticket package. The more days you book the cheaper your per day cost is.

A four day basic ticket would allow you to spend one day in each of the four theme parks. You do have flexibility with park tickets. If you visit Magic Kingdom your first day and your kids want to go back a second day no problem. Some families are so enchanted with the Magic Kingdom they never make it to another theme park. Others want a taste of all four.

Your first trip to Walt Disney World can be overwhelming. As you do more research you will probably have more questions. The Walt Disney World Moms Panel would love to help! Please contact me or any of the moms and dads with any questions you have.
