My husband and I honeymooned at WDW in 1997 and had the DP and from what I have read the plan and dining have really changed. We will be booking ADR's this time which weren't necessary back then, but can you tell me how early we should arrive?

    Hi Debbie,

The dining plan is much more well known now a days and that can make it more difficult to get reservations at the popular sit down restaurants.  It sounds like you're prepared to make the advanced reservations, which is great.  Remember you can begin to make them 180 days from the day you arrive at your resort.

Disney dinning recommends that you arrive at the restaurant's podium 15 minutes before your reservation and they remind you to ensure enough travel time if your traveling from another park or resort.

Even with a reservation, you may have to wait 10-20 minutes to be seated.  This, of course, depends on the time of day.  We eat at sit down restaurants once or twice a day during our trips and we rarely have any significant problems.

Congratulations on 11 wonderful years.  Enjoy your trip.
