Hi there, Jennifer. Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question.
The
Walt Disney World Florida resident theme park tickets are such a great deal! I think it is so wonderful that
Walt Disney World offers this discounted perk to Florida residents. However, there are a few stipulations with these tickets that I want you to be aware of.
In order to use a Florida resident ticket, everyone ages 18 and over is required to show
proof of residency in order to activate the tickets for use. What that means is anyone 18 and over will need to stop by the Guest Relations window before entering the first Walt Disney World Theme Park and be required to show:
- Valid Florida Drivers license
- Valid Florida state-issued ID card
- Valid Florida-based military ID
In addition to those popular forms of verification, you can also submit:
- Proof of current mortgage - monthly statement, cannot be more than 2 months old
- Bills, policies and registrations - cannot be more than 2 months old
- Select Mail items - cannot be more than 2 months old
You can find out all of the details on what is accepted and what is not on the
Proof of Florida Residency website which I've linked for you.
So it sounds like with your husband's mortgage statement he will be able to purchase the discounted tickets for himself and his children under the age of 18 as there is no verification for them. If you are on the mortgage or can show proof of residency with those listed options, you'll also be able to purchase and use a Florida residency ticket as well.
I hope this helps answer any questions you might have had about this, Jennifer. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
