Hi Shane!
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to see you stopping by planDisney with a question!
With a variety of health issues in my family, we have been pleased with the
Services for Guests with Disabilities. It sounds like the
Disability Access Service might be good for your husband. This service is designed for Guests who cannot tolerate a tradition attraction queue. As you review the information, pay particular attention to the pre-registration details.
When we have used this service in the past, we have truly appreciated being able to get a return time for a select attraction. Once we returned at our designated time to ride, we typically spent no more than 5-10 minutes in line. And, for our family of four, all of us could ride with the person who has been assigned the DAS.
As you plan your theme park days, be sure to also consider how you will navigate other lines. We always make
advanced dining reservations so that we have guaranteed times to dine and do not spend unnecessary time standing in line waiting for food. We also have used
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to more efficiently order food in the parks.
Also review the details for
Disney Genie service,
Disney Genie+ service and
Individual Lightning Lane purchases. These services will help you to maximize your time in the parks. Also take a few minutes to download the Guide Maps for Guests with disabilities. Each park has a guide map -
Magic Kingdom,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Shane, the pre-registration process could take some time, so be sure to click on the
live chat link early one morning when you have some time to wait. Or, if you prefer, you can try to register on-site when you arrive. I am sending a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will identify the best way to navigate the parks and resorts!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
