My husband and I are heading down to Walt Disney World for the 4th of July. He's never seen them before and I'd like to make it special. Are there dessert parties for the 4th of July fireworks at either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT? Thank you.

    Hiya Cassie,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your fireworks question! How exciting that you and your husband will be visiting Walt Disney World for the Fourth of July. There is truly something so magical about celebrating America’s birthday at Disney. Between the patriotic décor, special treats, characters dressed in their red, white, and blue best, and the incredible fireworks lighting up the sky over Cinderella Castle and EPCOT, it feels like pure Disney magic.

So Cassie, let’s jump right into your fireworks questions! You will be happy to know that Magic Kingdom will once again be presenting Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky across all three nights of the holiday weekend, July 3 through July 5. That means you have three opportunities to catch this breathtaking fireworks spectacular, which is wonderful for flexibility during your trip.

If you are hoping for a more relaxed viewing experience, Magic Kingdom offers several dessert party options, including the Pre-Party, After-Party, and Seats & Sweets. These parties include delicious desserts and reserved fireworks viewing areas, which can make the evening feel even more special. It is important to know that these reservations are very popular and typically become available 60 days in advance, so they book quickly. But don’t lose hope if you do not see availability right away! I always recommend continuing to check back because last-minute reservations do occasionally pop up as guests adjust their plans closer to travel dates. And honestly, one of the wonderful things about Magic Kingdom fireworks is that no matter where you are in the park, there is usually a little bit of magic in the sky to enjoy.

Now over at EPCOT, the Fourth of July celebration is just as spectacular! The patriotic Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks tag will also take place July 3 through July 5. Each evening begins with Luminous: The Symphony of Us at 9:00 PM, followed immediately by the special patriotic fireworks finale around 9:15 PM.

If you are looking for an elevated adults-only experience, GEO-82 offers a wonderful fireworks viewing package complete with light bites, sparkling sips, and seated viewing for the show. Similar to the Magic Kingdom dessert parties, these reservations can fill quickly around the 60-day mark, but I definitely recommend continuing to check for cancellations as your trip approaches.

Cassie, whether you end up at a dessert party or simply find a cozy viewing spot in the parks, you are in for such a memorable holiday celebration. I always recommend arriving a little early, soaking in the atmosphere, grabbing a festive snack, and enjoying all the patriotic entertainment leading up to the fireworks.

Cassie, I hope this helps answer your question! If you have any additional questions while planning your magical Fourth of July getaway, please feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
