My husband and I are heading to Disney in September for our 3rd trip together. I asked to be booked at Port Orleans, Riverside, but got booked at French Quarter. Before I call to change it, which resort is better, Riverside or French Quarter?

Hi Marc - That's such a difficult question, because everyone's preferences are so different!  There are pros and cons to each side of the resort, and one will probably appeal to you more than the other.

Port Orleans Riverside is definitely the busier of the two.  There's a table-service restaurant located right on site, as well as some fun activities like catch and release fishing and horse-drawn carriage rides.  There are also several quiet pools on property, in addition to the larger pool.  There are several bus stops throughout the property.

Port Orleans French Quarter, on the other hand, is much more low key and quiet.  There's one primary pool, a food court, gift shop, and the Scat Cat's Club.  There's only one bus stop on the property, although sometimes the two properties will share a bus.

I personally prefer the French Quarter side, because I like the more low-key nature.  However, it's still very easy to walk to Riverside for any amenities, so to me it's the best of both worlds.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
