My husband and I are heading to Aulani in May, and are really excited! We've read about the beach and Rainbow Reef, and were wondering about snorkeling. We have our own gear, can we bring it or do we have to rent gear at the resort? Thanks!

Hi Stephanie! Congratulations on your upcoming vacation to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa...it's hard not to get excited about an island paradise! From beautiful beaches, picturesque landscapes and incredible culture you're in for a magical vacation.

Rainbow Reef offers the one of a kind experience of swimming up close with thousands of friendly tropical fish in the safe man made saltwater lagoon. You're welcome to bring your own snorkeling gear, but the entrance fee includes the equipment rental so there are no savings if you bring your own. You can choose a 1 day entrance fee of $15 for adults and $10 for kids or pay just $20/$15 for the entire length of your stay. You’ll be equipped with a life vest, mask and snorkel set. If you buy the snorkeling pass for the length of your stay, you'll get a bracelet that will be punched and you can also use this to get your gear down at the beach.

Be sure to grab a copy of the Daily 'Iwa, a newsletter style magazine which outlines the day's fun activities and attractions.

Wishing you a magical and memorable Disney vacation.
