Oh Meghan, you are my type of Guest! I just love the special events at the
Walt Disney World Resort, and you're eyeing one of my favorites and already have tickets to another. So, let's follow the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole and get right to your question!
While attractions and experiences are subject to change, the major heavy-hitter attractions are usually open during
Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios. To see the list of attractions that are slated to be open during this event,
visit the event page, scroll down, and click the "Read More" link under "Favorite Attractions." When it comes to characters, they're a bit like the Cheshire Cat, appearing when you least expect them. They are typically pretty rare characters that often surprise Guests. While not a guarantee, Duffy, Thumper, and Meeko have been some of the surprises at past events!
Now, don't forget that with both the After Hours event at Hollywood Studios and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can enter the parks before the events begin. For the Halloween Party, you can typically enter
Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m., and for After Hours at
Hollywood Studios, you can usually enter at 7 p.m. Consider it your invitation to step through the looking glass a little early, giving you time to enjoy some of the attractions and experiences that aren't open during the event, grab some dinner, or watch a show!
