My husband and I are having a really hard time making a decision on when to take our Disney trip. We have 3 children 9,7,&3. Our main concerns are crowds and weather. The two dates we are torn between are Feb28-Mar 7 or May16-May23.

Traci, that's a great question and something I take into consideration every time I plan a vacation.  Having been to Disney World in both early March and mid-May, both dates have the potential for beautiful weather.  However, one thing I have learned is that the weather is not always reliable.  You may want to check out http://www.orlando-weather.us/ for monthly weather trends.  Also, check the Orlando forecast before you leave and pack accordingly.  It's a good idea to pack light jackets and ponchos no matter when you decide to go.  Florida is famous for that "liquid sunshine".

As far as crowds go, neither of your dates are at peak season.  Your March dates should just miss the spring break crowds, and your May dates fall before most schools break for summer vacation.  Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival is scheduled from March 18 through May 31 of 2009.  While this may cause the crowds to be a little heavier, the flowers, gardens and topiaries throughout Epcot are stunning!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
