Hello there! My husband & I haven't been to WDW since 2011 & will be heading back in Jan. 2015 with our (will be) 2.5yo son & 10mo daughter. Our son has peanut/treenut allergies - what are your suggestions for best restaurants for his allergy?

Hello Danielle.  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  A lot has changed at Walt Disney World since 2011, you guys are going to have a great time.

Food allergies are something that is taken very seriously at Walt Disney World to ensure that everyone has a magical experience.  I would start out by checking the Special Dietary Request page of the Walt Disney World website.  They have some great information about visiting the parks with food allergies.  Then I would email Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com to see what restaurants they recommend.  Be sure to have the Cast Member make a note about the food allergy on your account when making dining reservation.  As an alternative, you are allowed to bring your own food inside the parks with you in a small soft sided cooler. This might work out well (and save some money too) for snacks and meals if you are still concerned after talking to someone in the Special Diets department.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
