Hi, my husband is handicapped so we both get mobility scooters. We love to do the path between Saratoga and OKW. In going this route, is there a path that also leads to French quarter or riverside? Thanks, Jody

    Hi Jocelyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for bringing us your question about some of my very favorite Walt Disney World Resorts. My family stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside last spring, and we had a lovely time exploring the resort and walking along the banks of the Sassagoula River on a daily beignet run.

I love that you and your husband are making plans to do some adventuring and resort exploration; there are so many lovely walking and jogging trails around the resorts, and so many Guests miss them. While Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort are indeed connected by a path, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter are connected as "sister" resorts, the four are not connected by any paths that are accessible to Guests.

Just like Moana, Cast Members "know the way," so I recommend asking a Cast Member at your resort about their favorite paths and trails. When I was recently at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, an awesome Cast Member pulled out a resort map and drew a bunch of new paths for my kids to explore. We had a blast and discovered many hidden Disney details.

You might also consider taking the ferryboat from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Disney Springs, and then transferring to Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. This is a relaxing and peaceful way to get around, and can accommodate your ECV. Be sure to check the schedule, as the ferry times can vary, but it could be fun to head to Disney Springs for a treat or a meal before heading on your next "expotition" (as Pooh Bear calls it).

"Adventure is out there," Jocelyn! Have so much fun!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
