My husband and I have both had gastric bypass surgery. Is it possible for us to share an adult meal instead of having to order from the children menu at table service restaurants?

    Hi, Miranda!

At any quick service location, there is no problem sharing meals. Order what you want, and share it however you please! When dining at table service locations, there may be a "split plate fee" if you ask the server to divide the meal in the kitchen. When the meal is split, they often include the condiments or sauces on both plates, extra bread (if served), plus the extra time, so the upcharge is understandable.

If one person just orders the meal and you share, you should be fine, but you can inquire with your server. You may each want to order certain items for a starter, such as a soup or salad, as these are not convenient sharing foods!

Sharing is not permitted at buffets, family style dining, character dining, or Prix Fix meals. Each guest will be charged for a full meal in these dining locations. The exception is for our little Mouseketeers under the age of 3, as they may share off an adult plate for no extra charge.

I hope you find wonderful meals and snacks that fit your dietary needs during your visit to the Disneyland Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
