My husband is full time Army National Guard, we have a trip to Disney World planned for the middle of january. My husband bought the military Walt Disney World Exchange Certificate on base and I'm wondering how to link the certificate to our passes?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paula!

I’m so glad to hear you’ve got a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up next month! Mine’s a military family too, and I’d like to extend my thank you to your husband and your family for your service to our country. I hope your together time next month is perfectly magical!

We almost always purchase the Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets on base, just like you did. When you take a look at the exchange certificates, you’ll see a ticket number listed on each one. To link those tickets, log in to your My Disney Experience account and select “Tickets and Passes.” Then, click the icon to add tickets (it looks like a + symbol) and select “Link Tickets & Passes.” From there, follow the steps to enter each ticket number and assign each ticket to a Guest. I like to write the name of the Guest I linked each exchange certificate to on the ticket; that makes it easier when you activate the tickets at the theme park.

Paula, when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll need to visit a Guest Relations or ticket window to activate the tickets. Present the exchange certificates and your military ID – and, if you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and will have MagicBands, make sure you bring your MagicBands too so the tickets can be linked to each one. Once the activation is complete, you’ll be all set and ready to let the magic begin!

If you run into any trouble linking your exchange certificates, call the My Disney Experience Support Cast Members at (407) 939-4357. They can get it all sorted out with a quick “bibbidi bobbidi boo!”

It’s always a pleasure to assist a fellow military family, so please come back and see us if you have any more questions as you get ready for your visit. Have the BEST time next month, Paula!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
