Hi, Jennifer!
I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort! There’s so much magic to discover, especially with the addition of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park and Fantasy Faire in Disneyland Park.
A great choice would be Café Orleans at Disneyland Park. You’ll love dining on the open-air patio as you enjoy a meal in the spirit of Mardi Gras! My go-to menu item is the Monte Cristo sandwich. Have a Mint Julep, the signature drink of New Orleans Square, and some beignets (French doughnuts) for dessert! Although it’s a bit pricier, Blue Bayou is my favorite restaurant in Disneyland Park, serving Cajun- and Creole-style food. It’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the gently-lit “outdoor” atmosphere is like no other dining experience in the park.
Plaza Inn is a picturesque Victorian-themed restaurant at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. It just so happens to be the home of one of my favorite quick-service meals, the fried chicken! Lunch and dinner feature cafeteria-style service, and in addition to the famous chicken, they also serve pot roast, pasta with your choice of sauce, fresh salads, and a selection of tantalizing desserts!
Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue in Frontierland at Disneyland Park is a family-style, all-you-care-to-eat feast in an outdoor ranch setting featuring live country music and spirited entertainment. If you have room for dessert, indulge in the S’mores Bake, a warm chocolate brownie topped with roasted marshmallows, graham crackers and hot fudge.
Reservations for any table-service restaurant can be made by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463. Bon appetit, Jennifer! Please write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
