My husband and I have a flight that leaves in the evening but we have to check out of our resort by 11. Is there somewhere we can hold our bags if we wanted to still do other things at Disney or even Disney springs until we leave for the airport?

    Hi Annie!

One of the many reasons we return to the Walt Disney World Resort, again and again, is that they make vacationing there easy and convenient. As a family of 6, I usually book us on late-night flights to save money and allow us to enjoy one final day in the Florida sunshine.

One of the many benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is assistance from Bell Services. When you are ready to depart your resort room, call Bell Services to help you. Sometimes with many Guests checking out in the morning, it can take a few minutes for bell services to get to you, so leave yourself an extra 15 to 20 minutes of wiggle room. Let them know you intend to store your bags with them until later in the day. Bell Services will keep your luggage safe and secure for you while you are free to go off and explore! They will give you a claim check to retrieve your baggage later.

Now you are ready to head off to a lovely lunch at Disney Springs, hit the hotel pool, or even head to one of the theme parks for one last day of fun. If you’ll be catching Disney’s Magical Express back to the airport, remember to leave yourself plenty of time to return to the resort, I recommend at least 90 minutes. This gives you some extra transportation time to run late, and extra time at the resort to get your luggage from Bell Services, change into travel clothes if needed, use the washroom, or grab a snack for the trip home. Since we too are from Indiana, We usually change into jeans so we are prepared for our return to the snowy midwest.

I hope this helps with your planning, Annie. Let us know what additional questions you have before your visit, we love talking Disney!

    Have a magical day!
