Welcome back to planDisney, Juni!
When I saw your question, I just had to help out with your adults-only adventure. My hubby and I LOVE Caribbean Beach Resort. If we ever want to enjoy a weekend away from our boys, nine times out of ten, that’s our choice. Juni, the vibe of this Resort hotel will be exactly what you’re looking for. Okay, let’s not waste time and dive right in!
Let’s be honest, having magical moments with your kiddos at Disney World is pretty unbeatable. But sharing precious alone time with your husband will be relaxing and rejuvenating. My first suggestion is to make advance dining reservations up to 60 days before your hotel arrival date.
Here are a few of my top dining recommendations:
-Sebastian’s Bistro: It’s our go-to when staying at Caribbean Beach or a nearby hotel on the Disney Skyliner route. For it to be a family-style meal, the short walk, tropical vibes, and intimate size make it a repeat for our romantic trips.
-California Grill: It sits atop the Contemporary Resort hotel and is the perfect dinner for two who enjoy having a unique view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show. Try to book this as quickly as possible because the reservations around fireworks time go quickly.
-Toledo at Gran Destino Tower: This restaurant has a dark and mysterious vibe and the Dahlia Lounge next door is on an airy rooftop.
Also, there are some super fun activities that you and your sweetheart may want to check out:
-Tequila and wine tastings: La Cava Experience tequila tasting at EPCOT and Wine Bar George’s wine tasting at Disney Springs are two of the few tastings available at Walt Disney World. Most of these have to be booked in advance.
-Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian Resort hotel: This is easily one of my husband’s favorite spots on property. The drinks are flowing, the atmosphere is fun, and the antics will have you in stitches. You may be seated with other people, but the memories make it a must-do for us when we don’t have the kids.
-Carriage rides, surrey bike rentals, and more: Transportation like boat rides or even on-foot strolls make for the sweetest moments. You can find private carriage rides at hotels like Port Orleans French Quarter and Fort Wilderness. Surrey bikes can be rented at hotels like Saratoga Springs and the Disney BoardWalk area.
AN EXTRA GEM: One of my favorite Disney travel hacks (that I refuse to gatekeep) is to request a Caribbean Beach Resort room in the Aruba area. It’s super close to the Skyliner, which means easy access to theme parks like EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. It’s also a short walk to the Riviera, a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel. I’ll get up a little earlier than my husband and Mobile Order breakfast from the Riviera’s quick-service restaurant. It’s seriously the best way to start our day—and I get a few steps in.
My gut feeling is that this vacation will be nothing short of magical. Juni, feel free to personally ask me for even more recommendations for your vacation. The suggestions above are just a handful that I have. Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney!
Magic always,
LeAndra
