Girls at Disney's Yacht Club

    My husband and I are fairly allergic to dogs and are staying at the Yacht Club in late August. What are the chances that there will have been dogs in the room prior to our visit? In other words, are only certain rooms ever booked for guests with dogs?

    Hey there, Nancy. Welcome to planDisney. 

    Are you getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation? It will be here in just a few short weeks. I bet the countdown is on! 

    Disney's Yacht Club Resort is such a great resort to stay at. I personally love both the Yacht and Beach Club very much and have stayed there numerous times. The Stormalong Bay pool area is so much fun. I hope you have some time planned in your itinerary to enjoy it. 

    I think you'll be happy to know that while the Yacht Club is considered a dog-friendly resort, there are only a certain number of rooms where dogs can stay and a majority of the rooms at the resort are pet free. To be on the safe side, I recommend you call the resort at (407) 934-7000 and let the Cast Member helping you know about your allergy. They will then pass along this information to the room assignment team and they will be sure to put you far away from the dog-friendly section. Better safe than sorry. That is something I always appreciate about a Walt Disney World vacation. They are willing to go the extra step to ensure the safety and well-being of all Guests.  Dogs, unless it is a service animal, are also not allowed in any of the common areas of the resort like the lobby, restaurants, or pool area so you should be fine in those areas as well which is great!
