My husband and I want to extend our trip. Currently, we have booked POR royal room for 1 week. We can choose to extend it by 3 days at Coronado with reg dining or extend an additional week and stay at all-star movies and spend a lot less. Any thoughts?

    Hi Holly,

That is a conundrum you have on your hands! No matter which you choose, you are going to have a nice, long time at Walt Disney World! Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a great place to start your vacation. Looking for all of the little touches from the princesses in the royal rooms is so much fun.

While I do have a soft spot for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort as it is the first resort that my husband and I ever stayed in together at Walt Disney World, in your situation, I think I would choose the extra week at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. I am always looking for ways to spend more days at Walt Disney World! Both Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside are moderate level resorts, and Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is a value level resort. At a value resort, you will still be able to take advantage of the great benefits of being a Walt Disney World resort hotel guest, such as Extra Magic Hours and transportation from your resort to locations throughout Walt Disney World; however, you will find that the value resort room will be smaller, and that there are less dining options at the value resort. You will also find double beds at Disney's All Star Movies Resort, while the other two offer queen or king beds. Since it is just you and your husband traveling, the smaller size of room will likely be okay for you. I suggest that the week you are at Disney's All Star Movies is when you plan more time in the theme parks, as well as exploring dining options at theme parks, Disney Springs, and other resort hotels.

I do not think that there is a wrong choice here, Holly! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
