Aloha Kelcie and welcome back to
planDisney!
I have a special appreciation for this question because
'Ohana at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World! I'm still their #1 fan after 20+ years of dining there.
One of the biggest reasons why my family loves 'Ohana is because of the wide range of delicious food they offer. My daughter is a super picky eater and she is able to choose between the famous 'Ohana noodles and more kid-friendly food. Even though it is not on the menu, the restaurant also offers chicken nuggets, fries and creamy mac n cheese. She also likes chicken wings, so we have been able to ask for them without the honey-coriander sauce.
On the other hand, my son loves the Polynesian offerings, especially the pork dumplings. My favorite is the grilled chicken with chimichurri sauce. Even though it has a little green on it, my daughter really likes it as well.
Don't forget to save room for the amazing pineapple bread pudding. It's the star of the show! It's topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and there's a homemade caramel sauce to pour on top. My picky daughter doesn't care for the bread pudding, so she is usually given rice krispie treats with Mickey sprinkles and sometimes mini cupcakes. If your kiddos don't like any of those sweets, you can ask for just a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead.
If you are looking for a great breakfast location, consider 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch. Lilo & Stitch is our favorite movie (even our dogs are named after the two troublemaker characters), so being able to visit with them while having a delicious breakfast is a must-do for us. It is the only place at Walt Disney World where you can get Stitch waffles AND as many of them as you would like!
I hope you enjoy your dinner at 'Ohana! Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
