Welcome to planDisney, Chelise! How exciting that you and your husband are planning your first park hopping adventure…and during the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, no less. You truly picked a deliciously fun time to visit!
I’m happy to share that your
park hopper tickets will allow you to move between
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park as often as you’d like, beginning at 11:00 AM on each of your park days. That means you can absolutely enjoy
the Sip and Savor offerings across all three days of your visit while still hopping over to Disneyland for attractions, entertainment, and those extra celebratory touches tied to the 70th anniversary (including the always dazzling
Paint the Night parade lighting up Main Street, U.S.A. each evening).
As you plan your days, there’s one helpful detail to keep in mind. When you purchased your tickets, you selected a starting park for each day. That’s where your Disney day will begin. Once park hopping opens at 11:00 AM, you’re free to come and go between the two parks at your leisure. If Food & Wine Festival booths are high on your priority list (and they should be!), you’ll be happy to know that most festival marketplaces also open around 11:00 AM. If you’re starting your day at Disneyland and planning to hop over right away for a bite, I recommend heading toward the park entrance 15–30 minutes early. It’s a popular time to switch parks, and arriving a bit ahead can help you beat the rush.
Since this is your first time experiencing the festival, I have a couple of can’t-miss suggestions. One of my personal favorites is
Soarin’ Over California, which makes a special return during the festival. This nostalgic version of the attraction is only available for a limited time, and I highly recommend making it a priority (consider it a little “Q-Tip” for your itinerary). And while you’re in Disney California Adventure, don’t miss
Cookin’ with the Jammin’ Chefs in Paradise Gardens Park. It’s a lively, music-filled show featuring Daisy, Chip, Dale, and Clarabelle that always brings a smile and a chance to pause and soak in the atmosphere.
With three days to explore, you’ll have plenty of time to sip, savor, and stroll your way through both parks at a comfortable pace. If nighttime shows are your jam, try to plan at least one evening in each park so you can experience the unique energy each one offers after dark.
I hope you have an incredible visit filled with flavorful bites, memorable moments, and a little extra magic around every corner! If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us here again at planDisney!
Wishing you a magical stay,
David
