Hello, Lisa. Thanks for reaching out to us again at planDisney!
The Walt Disney World Resort is not only the Most Magical Place on Earth, but it is also one of the most accommodating. Cast Members go out of their way to
welcome everyone and those clever
Walt Disney Imagineers do a phenomenal job of making as many attractions and experiences as accessible as possible for Guests. It's really inspiring to see and experience.
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, folding chairs are not allowed in the theme parks,
water parks, or
Disney Springs. Because of this, a walking stick with a seat would likely not be allowed. But don't worry, there are other solutions. Most rollators, which are rolling walkers with a seat, are usually permitted in the parks and can provide a place for him to sit. If he go with this option, the Cast Members at the attraction will let him know what to do with it while he is riding. Of course,
wheelchairs and
Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are also allowed and are available to rent in each theme park. Furthermore, you may want to look into whether or not your husband would qualify for
Disability Access Service, or DAS for short. This allows qualifying Guests to make reservations for select experiences so they do not have to wait in a standard queue line. While I don't know if your husband would qualify, it might be worth looking into!
Lisa, when are you planning on visiting the resort? 2024 is shaping up to be a tremendous year for the
Disney Parks, including the
Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to
