Hi Lori!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Yes, you'll be pleased to know it is possible to be driven to
Epcot and be dropped off, without having to park and be charged for parking. Just drive to the park entrance (as if you were heading for the parking lots) where your husband can tell the Cast Member on the gate that he is dropping you and your son near the entrance. They will direct you to a special drop-off zone close to the park entrance, within easy walking distance. If your husband is returning to collect you both after your day at the park, he would just follow the same procedure again. This also applies for Guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. The only difference is if you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park. All cars (with the exception of the
Minnie Van Service) have to drop off passengers at the Transportation and Ticket Center, where park guests will then take the Ferryboat or the Monorail to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom Park. It is worth noting that for all Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel,
Disney Resort Transportation will be available to take you directly from the Resort hotels to the theme parks - boats, buses and monorails, depending on each Resort hotel's location - and if you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park, they will take you right up to the entrance of the park.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
