My husband and I will be driving up and spending one day with our children and grandchildren at Disney from South Florida. Can we purchase resident tickets when we get there or do we have order them in advance. Can we just get a 1 day ticket?

    Hi Carol Ann,

It's great that you will be able to spend some time with your loved ones at Walt Disney World.

As a Florida resident, you are eligible for discounts on admissions for one-day and multiple-day tickets and for seasonal and annual passes. You can purchase your tickets when you get to the theme parks or resort. Or you can purchase them online in advance.

If you buy in advance, you will print a voucher to take to the ticket window. You will need to show your Florida identification and exchange your voucher for your ticket. So, in this case, it may be just as easy to wait until you get there.

I suggest you keep an eye on the Florida Residents Discounts site until your visit. Right now, there is a deal for Florida residents that gives you three days for just a little more than the price of one day. That promotion expires before you plan to visit, but you never know when a new discount program will appear. This one showed up on the website the night before it started.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy your visit!
