Hey there, Joan! Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great planning question.
I couldn't be more excited to see that you and your husband will be dining at
Biergarten Restaurant on your upcoming magical vacation. This is one of my family's favorite dining experiences in EPCOT! The food is so good (I can't get enough of the salads and soft pretzels), the entertainment is fantastic and fun, and the atmosphere transports you right to an outdoor festival in Germany.
As a physical therapist, safe mobility at
Walt Disney World (and anywhere in the world!) is important to me, so I reached out to a Cast Member to find you the most accurate answer. She let me know that since Biergarten's dining area is a little tight, the Cast Member at the restaurant will ask you if you can transfer, and if you can, your mobility scooter will be parked outside of the restaurant.
If you or your husband can't transfer, let the Cast Member know, and if you need wheelchair-accessible dining, I recommend indicating this on your dining reservations. When making your dining reservation, click "Edit" next to "Accessibility Requests" and click "Wheelchair accessibility." If you've already made your dining reservations, modify your reservation on your
My Disney Experience account or app or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 to add the request to your reservation.
Joan, have you checked out the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs page on the Walt Disney World website yet? This is such a wonderful resource to provide everything you need to know, such as information on attractions and transportation, to have the most magical adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
I hope this helps, Joan, and I hope you and your husband have an unforgettable upcoming vacation, full of food and fun! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
