Hi Patty! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!
I think the beauty of
Walt Disney World Resort is that everyone is able to enjoy it together. I love that the attractions that grab my toddler's attention also keep my older children entertained, that my parents are still able to ride their favorite rides with their grandkids and that we can all enjoy extra special magical moments like Character Dining Experiences and nighttime fireworks shows as a family.
Walt Disney World Resort is committed to being a destination where everyone feels welcome. Their
helpful services in and around the Parks for Guests with mobility disabilities should allow you and your husband a stress-free, comfortable and, of course, magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
While E
lectric Conveyance Vehicles can be rented throughout all four Theme Parks, Water Parks and at Disney Springs, I understand that your husband will be needing a scooter outside of the Parks as well. In this case, the Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug, is a great option. Other third-party options (available with a quick internet search) also complete length-of-stay rentals. The nice thing about renting through Disney's Featured Provider is that if you're a Guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, ScooterBug will work directly with Cast Members at your Resort so that you do not need to be present with the Scooter is dropped off or returned to the company. It's Disney magic at its finest!
I hope that you and your husband are able to have a fantastic trip to Walt Disney World, Patty! Take some time to
check out all the attractions and shows where your husband can stay comfortably in his ECV throughout. The new
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue...and Beyond!, now open at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and
Mickey's PhilharMagic at Magic Kingdom are a couple of my favorites on the list.
Enjoy!
