My husband and I are going to DisneyWorld in July, we have two boys one with autism the other impulsive adhd and sensory disorders. Are they able to get DAS? Is there any information that is needed to be able to get this at the park? Thank you for you help

    Hi Myranda,

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Being a mom of a child with special needs myself, I can tell you that my family has found the Walt Disney World Resort to be a magical vacation destination for everyone! You'll be happy to know that there are some wonderful resources for Guests visiting with special needs, including the Disability Access Service.

If you are concerned that because of their special needs, it will be hard for sons to wait in lines, you'll want to stop by Guest Relations when you first arrive. You'll simply share your concerns with a Cast Member and they'll help you find the best solutions for your family. If that includes the Disability Access Service, you'll go through a short registration process and everything you need will be available on your MagicBands or cards. To use the Service, you'll simply have any member of your party ask a Cast Member at an attraction entrance to use the Disability Access Service, they'll scan your card or MagicBand, and you'll be given a return time. You may come back and experience that attraction at any point after that return time by entering the FastPass+ queue. Your qualifying son will need to be riding with you, and you'll have him enter the queue first to activate and confirm the Disability Access Service.

I'd also encourage you to ask the Cast Member at Guest Relations to point out quiet locations around the parks in case your Mouseketeers need a sensory break. One last tip: I like to pack some things like fidget toys, headphones, and a sensory brush for my son, so feel free to bring things with you that may help your boys.

I hope that your boys LOVE their visit and that you and your family have a truly magical vacation together, Myranda!
