My husband and I are going to Disneyland next month for the first time WITHOUT our children. We like to stay off property but are looking for the best adult-oriented good neighbor hotel within walking distance.

    Hey Andrea!

    Welcome to planDisney!

An adults-only trip is so much fun at the Disneyland Resort. My wife and I enjoy our days in the parks with the kiddos but I firmly believe in taking time with ourselves to make sure we stay connected and remember why we fell in love in the first place. I’m glad I saw your question because I have the perfect Disney Good Neighbor Hotel in mind for you. The Westin Anaheim Resort recently opened and is one of the few AAA Four-Diamond rated hotels in Anaheim. The amenities are amazing and you can even book a theme park view room for that extra touch of Magic. It’s walkable to the theme parks, has amazing restaurants and has that adult vibe that I think you’re looking for. Puesto is a must do so don't forget to stop there for some amazing tacos and Margaritas.

I know you asked for a Good Neighbor Hotel, but I couldn’t let you go without mentioning my favorite on-property hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Don’t worry, It’s AAA Four-Diamond rated as well! My wife and I love our weekend getaways there and you cannot beat the easy access to both Disneyland Park and Disneyland California Adventure Park. It’s the only Disney Hotel in the U.S. that’s connected to a theme park! Even if you don’t end up staying there you should really consider dining at Napa Rose where you can savor award-winning California cuisine with one of the most extensive wine lists around. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Speaking of reservations, an adults trip is the perfect excuse to make a reservation Tenaya Stone Spa located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa where you can rejuvenate and recharge after all your fun at the parks!

Well Andrea, I hope you found my recommendations useful for your trip.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
