My husband and I are going to Disneyland in May for our anniversary. We want to see World of Color, but want to have the best reserved seating. I have seen people sitting in chairs and was wondering how to get those. Is this through a dining package?

    Welcome, Julie,

It's so wonderful that you will soon be enjoying a romantic getaway to the Disneyland Resort to celebrate your anniversary. My wife and I have found it's a "whole new world" at the resort with just the two of us. We love enjoying entertainment and attractions together. One of our favorite vacations ever was when we celebrated our anniversary with a concierge-level stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel. Our favorite romantic locations for dining include The Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square and Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. They make for a "lovely, bella notte."

While reserved viewing areas for nighttime spectaculars can be arranged along with a Disneyland Resort VIP Tour, I think the best value for a party of two is the World of Color Dessert Party. This special dining event is my family's favorite way to watch Disney California Adventure Park's magical nighttime spectacular. We can relax in a roomy space seated at our tables. The decadent treats are practically perfect. My wife loves the cheeses. I adore the sweets. We both devour the breadsticks. The servers keep guests supplied with beverages, including adult drinks. Note that menu items are subject to change. Then, the amazing view will have you feeling just like Rapunzel.
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is different
    Now that I see you

"Adventure is out there" for you and the Carl to your Ellie. Have a magical time, Julie!
