My husband and I are going to Disneyland in February for Galaxy's Edge. We have reservations for Savi's Workshop and Droid Depot already, but what happens if we're in a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance during one of our reservations?

Welcome, you are, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!

My family and I are just now returning to the Beehive State after completing a mission to the planet Batuu. It was an epic journey that we will always remember.

We actually had an experience similar to yours. We were just about to be briefed for our first mission with the Resistance when First Order activity suddenly put our mission in jeopardy. We hunkered down in the “Old Outpost” area where the Resistance was staging our mission. But we had an appointment at the Cantina. And Oga is not happy with latecomers. We had a choice to make. We could completely abandon our mission and head to Oga’s. Or we could reach out to Oga’s staff for relief. We decided to test our luck. So we called (714) 781-3463 to find out about the possibility of adjusting our reservation. There is no guarantee, but the customer service representatives may be able to make some magic if needed. In some cases, they might be able to adjust your reservation by a few minutes.

The good news is that you will hopefully not need to be in a similar situation. When your Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance boarding group is called, you will normally be given two hours to return to the attraction to keep your boarding group reservation. I recommend planning on at least one hour to experience Rise of the Resistance. That should give you enough of a buffer for most unforeseen circumstances. For Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers and Droid Depot, I would recommend about a half-hour each. If you keep an eye on the Disneyland app, you can get a feel for when boarding groups are being called to judge when to join the Resistance if your boarding group looks like it will be called near your reservations.

Tony’s Tip: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has been immensely popular. Boarding groups may be filled quickly. I suggest arriving an hour before park opening. And make sure to have your theme park tickets linked in the Disneyland app before you arrive.

I hope you have amazing adventures at the Black Spire Outpost, Jessica.
