My husband and I came to Disney 30 years ago for our Honeymoon. We are visiting again this summer for our Anniversary. Any ideas for a special treat for us? Staying at Poly DVC. 4 nights. We have a 3 day park hopper.

    Hi Lori,

Congratulations! Thirty years of marriage is a fabulous milestone. How wonderful to be able to celebrate at Walt Disney World, where you took your honeymoon. I think that you will find Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows to be a romantic destination. Taking a moonlit walk along the beach will be a lovely way to spend an evening. Let me offer you some other ideas for your celebration.

Be sure to get a complimentary celebration buttons, available at Guest Relations at any of the Walt Disney World theme parks as well as many other locations. You can get a "Happily Ever After" button and indicate that you are celebrating your 30th anniversary. It is so much fun to hear cast members and guests wishing you a happy celebration!

As to a special treat, consider a specialty cruise. You could book a fireworks cruise, which include a viewing of fireworks at Magic Kingdom or Epcot. You and your spouse would be the only people on the boat, of course with your boat captain. I have taken these before, and with a group of friends they can be fun and boisterous, but with just a couple they can be calm and romantic. For a true splurge, you can consider the Grand 1 Yacht. Please do note that fireworks are subject to cancellation.

Another idea for a special treat would be to take a spa day and enjoy a couples massage. I love Senses - A Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. A couples massage there would be so relaxing, and you could then walk around and enjoy this romantic resort, which is a quick monorail ride from Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful, Lori. Do let us know if you have any more questions!
