Hiya Alicia,
Welcome to planDisney. We love answering all your questions about planning a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. Questions about dining are my personal favorite! My significant other and I set a goal to try every table service
dining location at Disney World, and
Space 220 is high on our must-try list. Like you, however, I have had a lot of difficulties securing that elusive reservation. But never fret; allow me to share some of my tips and tricks for obtaining dining reservations for popular locations.
Space 220 is one of Walt Disney World Resort’s newest dining extravaganzas, and it seems to be on everyone’s wish list; there is still time to get a table on the Centauri Space Station before your May trip. My first tip is for a day-of reservation. Space 220’s Lounge does allow walk-up reservations at this time. Based on my research, you will have to physically go to the restaurant to put your name on the list for any available table. I’ve heard of many Guests who have gotten a spot this way but be sure to get there early!
My next tip is to keep checking the
My Disney Experience mobile app. All Guests must cancel their reservations to avoid a cancellation fee by 24 hours before their trips. If you regularly check the mobile app, you are more likely to spy a Space 220 reservation as plans shift. I’ve had a lot of success with this approach, “All it takes is faith, trust, and pixie dust.”
Lastly, there are some third-party sites that are designed to provide you with alerts (for a small fee) when your preferred time has reservations become available. They will send you an alert via email or text, and you can log in and try to reserve Space 220 before it is gone. Many Guests and panelists really love this option! I am trying it for the first time, so hopefully, I will be able to share a positive recommendation from this endeavor.
I hope this helps you, Alicia. I wish I could magically open up reservations myself, but I can honestly say that I’ve had great success with these tips in the past.
If there is anything else I can do to help, please let me know!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
