Hi! My husband and I are going to Disney World Sept. 24-29. We are staying at the Grand Floridian and we have a reservation at Chef Mickey's at 7:05 am on Thursday 9/27. Will the Monorail run that early? If not, what is the best way to get there in time?

    Hi Maria!

The Resort Monorail begins operations at 7:00am on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop.

I'd recommend that you be at the Grand Floridian monorail platform just prior to 7:00am, perhaps even at 6:45am, to be sure that you're able to hop on the very first one that arrives. Your journey over to Disney's Contemporary resort is a short one, just 2 monorail stops, so you'll be there in a jiffy! After disembarking, you'll have only a short jaunt down the escalator and you'll be headed straight for Chef Mickey's just around the corner!

If you should happen to arrive a few minutes late, don't despair. Just check right in at the hostess stand and you'll be seated at the next available table for your party size.

Should you prefer to ensure that you arrive in advance of your reservation time, consult the concierge desk in the Grand Floridian Resort lobby the night before. Inquire about an early morning bus from the Grand Floridian to your character dining experience. These buses begin operating at 6:30am, servicing all Disney Resort Hotel locations.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question Maria!
Please don't hesitate to write me back if I can assist you further with your planning.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
